Craft & Transparency

Our
Production

Every charcoal has a story. We tell it in full and without gaps, from the tree to your grill.

Our standard

Not what,
but how

The difference between good and exceptional charcoal does not lie in the product alone: it lies in the process.

While many producers import and resell charcoal from anonymous sources, we chose a different path from the very beginning. We know every step of our production, we document it, and we can show it to you.

This is not a marketing promise. It is the standard we set for ourselves every day, and the reason we built a company founded on transparency, not as a slogan but as its foundation.

Charcoal kiln no. 1 with layered wood before carbonisation

Step by step

From the tree
to your charcoal

Six documented steps. Every one traceable. No step hidden from view. That is our definition of transparency.

01
Forestry

Careful wood selection

The first and decisive step: only wood from sustainable, European forestry is considered. For our apple wood charcoal we work with selected orchards, refining their wood residues and prunings into charcoal of the highest quality. No felling without documented origin, no exceptions.

02
Logistics

Transport & drying

The freshly felled wood is collected, transported and dried to the optimal moisture content before carbonisation. Wood that is too moist produces poor charcoal, which is why controlled drying is a step in its own right within our process, one that demands time and patience. At least 6 months of natural drying under cover.

03
Preparation

Preparation & loading

The dried pieces of wood are cut by hand to the right size and placed into the traditional carbonisation kiln. The care taken during loading directly influences the evenness of the later carbonisation. Every kiln is filled by hand: no machine replaces human skill and experience here.

Core process

Traditional pyrolysis process

The heart of our craft: the slow, controlled pyrolysis in the traditional kiln. At temperatures between 400 and 600 °C the wood is carbonised in a low-oxygen atmosphere over several days. This slow process is the secret behind the superior quality: higher calorific value, less ash, a purer flavour. No rapid methods, no industrial retorts, only genuine craft.

Quality assurance

Inspection & classification

After cooling, every batch is inspected individually: calorific value, moisture content, single-variety purity, dust content, size distribution. Only batches that meet our internal standards are packed and dispatched. Any deviation is corrected or the batch is set aside. There are no compromises: this is our quality promise, given in writing.

Quality assurance

What we
inspect & guarantee

Quality is never a given: it is the result of systematic control and consistent standards.

We inspect every batch against the same criteria, whether it is a small order or a bulk delivery to a hospitality client. Our quality promise applies without restrictions.

  • Moisture content below 5 %

Measured with a moisture meter before packing. Charcoal that is too moist is not dispatched.

  • 100 % single-variety

Visual and analytical inspection for admixtures of other wood species.

  • Low dust content

Quality charcoal produces no excessive dust. Every batch is sieved and inspected.

  • Batch number & documentation

Every delivery is traceable. On request we provide production documentation.

  • No additives, no binders

Pure wood only. No additives, no artificial firelighters, no accelerants.

  • Written quality guarantee

We stand behind every product. If anything deviates, we find a solution, always.

Our production partner

Craft with
social purpose

Our charcoal is made in cooperation with the foundation "Fundacja Ramię w Ramię nad Osławą".

For us, the partnership with this non-profit foundation unites two core values: the highest craftsmanship and social responsibility. The foundation secures fair wages, regulated working conditions and sustainable economic development in the region.

This creates a product that is not only exceptionally good but also does something good. For us, transparency means that you know who produced your charcoal and under what conditions. That is our standard.
